Training for exams and ÖSS (University exams in Turkey) by hypnosis

In Turkey , hypnosis has been applied in education for a long time.  Erkal Dersanesi, in Besiktas, get approximately one thousand of students ready for the university entrance exam by means of hypnotherapy and it is expressed by the administers that it becomes successful by the rate of 90%.  Dt. Eşref Müezzinoğlu has used hypnosis in education for years.

A. Before exams, hypnosis can be applied

            1. To let the students notice their real potential and gain self-confidence

            2. To acquire the habit of studying systematically and pleasingly.

            3. To eliminate negative thoughts, feelings, fears and beliefs such as “ I can not win again”, “ my base is too weak”..  

            4. To determine student’s expectations from the future clearly.  

            5. for families to gain exam support. Some families increase the stress by putting too much pressure on students. Hypnosis can be applied on parents to fight this kind of stress.

            B. During the exams, hypnosis can be used  

            1. To increase the concentration.

             2. To postpone all the physiological needs which may be appear in the exam.

             3. To eliminate the tiredness that may be occur during the exam.

             4. To prevent the mistakes like missing some choices while filling the answer sheet.

             5. To call data back simply from the memory.

 C. After the exam, hypnosis can be relevant

             To make the choices consciously by being aware of their own interior potentials and to increase their interest in entered departments and support their adaptation.
